The press conference for the presentation the Coding Girls Rome-USA has just ended at the American Embassy in Italy. The event is promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale in collaboration with Girls Who Code.
Eight days of events (Oct. 12-19) for young girls and women in schools throughout Rome, a full immersion in digital manufacturing and robotics at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym and a final marathon for creating applications and educational programmes.
The girls will be helped by coaches from Girls Who Code, young female makers at the Fab Lab and female students and researchers from Sapienza University.
The initiative is promoted as part of the Italian Semester of Presidency of the European Union Council and for European Code together with Miur, Roma Capitale, Sapienza University Computer Science Department and Microsoft.
