In the Hands of Science

A multi-sector network to drive the trust of the younger generations in the progress of science, raise their awareness on the importance of correct scientific information and the choice of responsible behaviour for everyone’s health and wellbeing. This is Project Factor J, promoted in collaboration with Janssen Italia, the pharmaceutical branch of the Johnson & Johnson Group. Thirteen patient associations, the Rome “Campus Biomedico” University, the University of Siena, and three institutional partners - Società Italiana di Igiene Medicina Preventiva e Sanità Pubblica (SItI), VaccinarSì and Società Italiana di Farmacologia (SIF) – collaborate on the project.

On February 11, 2022, at 11, we will present news on the second edition of Factor J together with the results of the first study on changes in the lifestyles of youth conducted by the University of Siena. The event will be moderated by RAI Journalist Pietro Del Soldà. Speakers include Patrizia Prestipino, MP and Culture, Science and Education Commission and Gilberto Corbellini, Professor of Medicine and Bioethics History at Sapienza University of Rome.

In the video, Alessio Muscillo, Political Economics and Statistics Researcher at the University of Siena, briefly explains the objectives of the study based on four monthly questionnaires with different focuses: changes in lifestyles, trust in institutions, modifying behaviour based on opinions, cognitive biases on scientific issues.
