Growing Up During the Emergency

Growing Up During the Emergency

Growing Up During the Emergency

The next live event for Project Factor J, scheduled for Wednesday, February 17 at 4:00 pm, will be dedicated to infectious diseases with a focus on two different health emergencies: Aids and Covid-19. Monitoring by the Engage Minds HUB Research Centre at the Catholic University indicates that 41% of Italians are hesitant about the new Covid vaccine. And the WHO includes scepticism about vaccinations in the top ten threats to global health.

Promoting trust in science and providing clear and authoritative information are key to overcoming diffidence. Together with experts and a patient association, we will address the best behaviour to adopt and the responsibility that each of one has as part of a community. We will speak about vaccination with a special guest, Professor Massimo Galli, Infectious Diseases Expert and Director of the Infectious Diseases Unit at the Milan Luigi Sacco Hopsital.

The on-line local event is organised with the patronage of the Lombardy Region. The protagonist of the cover story is a young researcher from Mantua, Sara De Biasi, who has already received important recognition for her studies on the immune system of HIV patients. Stories and testimonials will be organised by NPS Onlus.

Factor J, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale with Janssen Italia, the pharmaceutical branch of the Johnson & Johnson Group, educates young men and women to develop their emotional intelligence, respect “uniqueness” and “diversity” and consider illness as an element of life. The initiative includes six regional events dedicated to different therapeutic areas. The third on-line event will be held in Lombardy.
