Today, the Istituto Pacinotti-Fermi in Taranto will host the presentation of Project Grandparents On-line. Everyone’s Young at the Post Office and the first project lesson at 2:30 in the main lecture hall of the school managed by Headmaster Vito Giuseppe Leopardo.
Francesca Del Duca will be present on behalf of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale. Classroom activities will be coordinated by Anna Martinez and Gaetano Manzulli. In class, over 30 citizens aged 65 and over are ready to acquire the skills necessary to access the digital economy.
The second national edition of the project (Oct. 2016 - May 2017) involves 20 cities: Ancona, Aosta, San Donà di Piave, Cagliari, Catania, Chivasso, Milan, Campobasso, Genoa, L’Aquila, Naples, Perugia, Pisa, Potenza, Reggio Calabria, Rome, Sassuolo, Taranto, Trento, and Pordenone.
This year the project will focus on mobile communications. The over 400 elders will practice their new skills on smartphones and tablets under the guidance of as many student tutors and 60 headmasters, coordinating teachers and lab technicians.
