A local TV station in Civitavecchia presented ITIS Marconi as a cutting edge school, one that is capable of forming relationships and collaborating with the productive realities of the territory and interpret the social needs of citizens.

On the school website, the coordinating teacher for the Grandparents on the Internet Project, Marco Marco, has written: "The Grandparents on the Internet Project has also advanced the position of the school as a territorial reference point for cultural and social initiatives.”
 
“We must, therefore, acknowledge the special merits of these students, merits that are often not recognised through regular curricular activities. This means providing them with the opportunity to demonstrate their inner abilities, allowing them to reveal the true values of existence, moral values, commitment and the beauty and art of relationships amongst human beings, while respecting their expectations and producing an authentic vision of emancipation and progress.”
 
The appointment for elders and tutors is Tuesdays at the school computer lab. The course, which began in November with an informational meeting, will end on March 22, 2011.
