This is the first Italian experience of a public on-line consultation for reforms and more than 30,000 questionnaires have already been compiled. The Department for Institutional Reforms, appointed by the Ministry and Government, has involved a network of partners and associations to raise awareness on the consultation.
The Fondazione Mondo Digitale is working to bring this consultation to over-sixties and help them participate actively. The response has been enthusiastic.
Maria Rosaria (59), Vice-President of the Centro Anziani Cinecittà Est, after having completed the questionnaire, tells us about the importance of participating in the public debate and why she decided to join this initiative and help other elders to participate, too. “Volunteering is give and take, a continuous exchange that brings growth. That’s why I’m here today.”
The questionnaire can be completed until October 8, 2013 in any Italian elderly center or at Partecipa.gov.it
