Generations On-line

As part of the collaboration between Google and Project CS First, an exploratory survey was conducted on the role of parents in the educational and professional choices of their children in computer science. Most parents do not feel they can explain computer science to their children and over 80% has requested to speak with experts.

Based on the results of the studies, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale has organised Generations On-Line, a series of meetings held by sector professionals to address the great challenges of digital life and help parents orient their children without prejudice towards the working world.

The third session will take place on Thursday, March 31 (18.30): experts and role models will discuss professional applications of computer science and address the issue of gender prejudice in STEM subjects, with the concrete experiences of women who work in the sector and have made the difference with technology.
