It’s already on-line. The Information Tower, a web game in 8-bit pixel-art by Google and Altroconsumo, is promoted by Skuola.net to help young men distinguish between true and false.

 

The game was developed by Manolo Saviantoni, pixel art maker from Rome, and FMD Coach Samuele Sciacca, advergame developer, who is specialising in the production of 8-bit “advergames” and “memegames.

 

The decision to develop a game on fact-checking is the result of the overconfidence of young men and women, due to their excessive trust in their judgement based on elements that have no basis in reality. Many young people, in fact, think they are too smart to be cheated, while they often are unknowing victims of misinformation.

 

The famous advertising slogan “Try it to believe it” has now become “Play to believe it!” Ready? Here’s The Information Tower!
