A Game for Learning

European Project knIghtS oF thE EuroPean Grail - Creating a Game-based Approach for Learning (Erasmus+ KA2 funding) kicks off today. The 36-month project, which will last until August 2023, includes the Fondazione Mondo Digitale in the strategic partnership.

 

The project objective is to develop and test a serious game as an innovative pedagogic tool for teaching languages, an adventure game including content in virtual and augmented reality set between the Middle Ages and modern times and based on famous stories related to our common European heritage.

 

Players create individual gender-neutral avatars based on profession, life, etc. (i.e., a shopkeeper, a knight, urban or country life). The players then interact on-line with other characters. The main challenges are presented through books (augmented reality content) that provide further information.
