The Game of the Future

Yesterday, Thursday, July 13, a team of reporters from the Lazio Regional News Service visited the Istituto Tecnico Galileo Galilei School in Rome to follow some of the phases of RomeCup 2021, which this year will be held phyrtually in collaboration with RoboCup Junior Academy [see news: RomeCup: Competitions Kick Off].

Until tomorrow, Team SPQR will be busy with the selections for the football-robot Soccer category. The winning teams will represent Italy at the World Robotics Championships, RoboCup 2021, which will be held in "worldwide" virtual mode on June 22-28.

The team is composed by one young woman, Siria Sannino, and two young men, Emanuele Coletta and Davide Belli.

The news report presents Siria’s passion for electronics and curiosity behind the operation of objects, a passion that she shares with her other team members, Emanuele and Davide. In 2016, the latter two participated with their fathers, Carlo and Andrea, in their first Rome Maker Faire with Project "3D Pac Robot Man," inspired by the classic 80s videogame, Pacman, the magical dot-eating creature pursued by ghosts [see news: Family Enterprise].
