“Back to the Rural”: specialised training for small mountain municipalities
Lisa Di Bello and Guido Ramini, local coaches from the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, are amongst the promoters of Project Tech Camp “Back to the Rural” that will be implemented in Pennapiedimonte and Roccascalegna, in the Province of Chieti in Abruzzo, thanks to the support of the United States Embassy in Rome.
"Back to the Rural" is a mini Tech Camp that replicates some of the experiences of the Tech Camp Rome 2022, such as digital storytelling and crowdfunding, adapting them to an itinerant and immersive two-day training programmein rural areas. The objective is to promote the professional updating of youth aged 15-35 (no less than 20 participants) that live in rural villages (youth operators, young local administrators, volunteers, and Pro loco members) to generate a long-term impact on local and cultural marketing.
In fact, the historical-cultural heritage of Italian rural areas is often undervalued due to the lack of key skills of the human capital that lives and works (often on a voluntary basis) in those areas.
