A Four-point Challenge

Last week, in More Accessible Education, we reported on some of the initial data that emerged from the 4th Civic Challenge launched by the City of Messina as part of Programme “Vagone FMD. From 01 to 100” developed for Binario F [see news: Civic Challenge in Messina].

Today, we share the results of the worktable: four points that summarize the results of the Digital Skills and Tools for Universal Professional Requalification” Challenge:

ACCESSIBILITY – Creating easily accessible tools and courses that allow everyone to acquire basic skills and learn more about digital professions. Adopting hybrid (on-/off-line) means of communication and promotion of opportunities to reach everyone, including the most fragile.

MEDIATION – Provide support and training to mediators, social assistants, teachers and anyone else who works with people in situations of socio-economic distress to promote access to training and professional opportunities.

MATCHING – Developing courses to address local labour market needs both in terms of the ability to use basic software and to address specific sectors such as digital marketing, coding, video production, graphics, etc.

NETWORKING – Developing a bottom-up local alliance to overcome the weaknesses of the social system, as well as the challenges introduced by the pandemic and digital transformation in the working world, by promoting the value of education as an investment in the future.
