ForumPA Scenarios

There are many aspects related to education and competences: social inclusion, competitiveness, relations between public administration and citizens. Think about the ability to adapt to a changing labour market, the opportunity of becoming digital citizens, the possibility of accessing information or accessing increasingly advanced services provided by both public and private administrations. There are problems, too, though. We have few university graduates (just 27.6% against a European average of 40%) and only 42% of the population aged 16-74 has basic or advanced digital skills.

In order to overcome this gap, in July, the Ministry for Technological Innovation and Digitalization adopted a decree on “The Strategy for Digital Competences.” This should lead to great opportunities thanks to EU funding. In fact, the Italian Government inserted a cluster dedicated to “Education, Training and Research” in the Recovery Plan and this may just be the right intuition. The issue will be discussed at the “FORUM PA 2020 Restart Italia”.

The appointment is on Thursday, November 5 (9:30 – 11:30 am)
