New Sapienza project on AI skills for female students
Fondazione Mondo Digitale is among the supporters of sIAte PROMPTe!, an educational and training initiative promoted by the Department of Computer Science at Sapienza University of Rome and born as a spin-off of the G4GRETA project. The programme was created to address the growing gender gap in the technology sector, with a particular focus on the impact of generative artificial intelligence on the future of work.
Recent studies indicate that AI-driven automation could disproportionately affect professions with a female majority. For this reason, sIAte PROMPTe! is aimed at high school students, with the aim of providing basic knowledge of generative AI and promoting an active and creative approach to emerging technologies.
A training course consisting of five meetings plus a final day
The programme includes:
- an initial team-building session to encourage collaboration and teamwork;
- three workshop sessions dedicated to an introduction to generative artificial intelligence, advanced prompting techniques and the creation of multimedia content (text, video, images, music);
- a kick-off session on project management, focusing on planning, task distribution, conflict management and effective presentation.
The teams of students will then be able to continue developing their projects independently.
Project presentation and mentorship
The Final Day will be dedicated to the presentation of the completed projects. The projects will be evaluated by a jury of experts, offering participants a concrete opportunity for discussion, guidance and growth.
Young women as protagonists of innovation
sIAte PROMPTe! aims to mitigate the risk of professional marginalisation of young women by transforming the challenges of the digital age into opportunities for empowerment. The goal is to strengthen confidence, skills and awareness, encouraging active participation in the development and use of new technologies.
Fondazione Mondo Digitale supports the initiative, fully sharing its inclusive vision and commitment to a more equitable and participatory society of innovation.
