Flipped Adults

The “Flipped Classroom” Methodology adopted by an adult night school will be at the Global Junior Challenge with Project Flipped Classroom for Lifelong Learning presented by Prof. Carmelina Maurizi at IIS Avogadro in Turin.

The “Flipped Classroom” Methodology was adopted for an English course at an adult night school organised by the Istituto Avogadro. The students, who arrived at the course from a range of school failures and from the working world, experimented with multimedia material both in-class and remotely for their Grammar and English for Special Purposes – ESL class and the use of their own digital devices in class (BYOD).

The objective of the project is to improve student involvement and participation in the learning process, retrieving previous knowledge to facilitate recycling and rebuilding, promote the use of digital materials to implement digital skills and reduce the gap with classes with mixed abilities.
