The Prodigy drone, which was inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s sketches, has been designed and created by AirMovie lab, a research and development lab for airborne filming via aero-models and radio controlled multi-rotor devices.

The staff at the Roman start-up is verifying the feasibility of developing its project at the Fab Lab in the Phyrtual Innovation Gym.

Prodigy is a multi-rotor drone with an innovative structure in terms of safety, control and low environmental impact. It was conceived for light cameras such as GoPro and NovoCamera, but Prodigy can also mount heavier cameras.

Prodigy is mainly built out of wood, which makes the drone unique both ethically and ecologically.
