The educational tour with American Coach Emily Thomforde ended today with the Rome Hackathon at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym: an entire day dedicated to coding (9 am to 6 pm).
The works were opened by Rome Councillor Flavia Marzano, while awards will be presented at the end of the day by Gloria F. Berbena, Councillor for Press and Cultural Affairs, United States Embassy in Italy, and Mirta Michilli, Director General, Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
This was the last stop of the educational marathon organised by Programme Coding Girls, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and the American Embassy in Italy in collaboration with Microsoft. The tour began last week in Milan, before moving onto Naples and then to Rome last Monday.
The team of digital coaches will be headed by Emily Thomforde, Code Educator and Science Technology Engineering Art and Mathematics (STEAM) Specialist, includes five senior coaches from the Phyrtual Innovation Gym: Manuela Benedetti, Lara Forgione, Giorgia Di Tommaso, Cecilia Lalatta Costerbosa and Valentina Gelsomini. The team was completed with the tutors trained at the all-female Coding Summer School, for a total of over 30 digital coaches.
