“I Had an Idea” began with the new school year and will continue in 2023-24 (Mila Spicola is the Project Coordinator for schools). «It’s the first time that Room to Read participates in a project in Italy,” explains Serughetti. “The objective of this organisation is to work in education through the development and advancement of skills, whether they be financial, digital, concern enterprise management or life skills (decision making, relations, problem solving, creative thinking, critical reasoning).» [...] «The project does not only address young women, but it is conceived for classes in which there are many women. And inserting it into the PCTO (school-work programme) has structured it formally. We need concrete measures, but it is equally important for schools to remain free environments in which to develop skills for good citizenship.»
