Like Walce - Women Against Lung Cancer in Europe that we presented last week, even Salutequità has joined the Factor J partnership.
And it did so with great generosity and passion, sharing with students the civil zeal that distinguishes it and the tenacity it exhibited throughout the health emergency.
“Our work has evolved along with the Covid-19 pandemic, which, on the one hand further humanised therapy and approaches to therapy, but on the other also provided immense organisational and administrative issues. Our first batch of analysed data has been dedicated to the patients who, unaffected by Covid-19, were overlooked during the pandemic,” explains Maria Pia Ruggeri, Director of First Aid and Emergency Medicine at the San Giovanni Addolorata Hospital in Rome.
On the one hand, there is work on the front line, in emergency medicine, and on the other work at schools... For Doctor Maria Pia it’s all part of the same mission. "Participating in Factor J has many benefits. The project is far-sighted. First because it aims to raise awareness of scientific knowledge. Secondly, because it takes this education to schools that also proves to be a communication tools with the older population. As an association, we see this project as a tool for sharing scientific knowledge.
“The experience with Factor J has been exciting and provided us with an injection of positivity,” adds the Salutequità Association Councillor.
“As an educational environment, schools should teach a practical and direct approach to scientific culture. We should give students the tools necessary to read, interpret and understand scientific news. These students represent tomorrow’s civil society.”
Factor J, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale with Janssen Italia, the pharmaceutical branch of the Johnson & Johnson Group, aims to improve trust in the progress of science amongst youth, raising their awareness on the importance of correct scientific information and responsible behaviour for everyone’s health.
