Can environmental issues also be caused by gender differences? Are you aware that the inequality between men and women could jeopardise the entire Agenda 2030?
The objective of the “The Green Future: There can be no sustainable development without gender equality” event is to involve the new generations in the creation of a “high-sustainability” future, starting from personal choices and an original point of view. The meeting, promoted in collaboration with the City of Milan, will take place on Wednesday, December 15 (10:30 -12:30) at the Biblioteca Sormani.
A line-up of speakers entirely composed of women is rather unusual when the subject is energy sources, but it represents a new mental framework to address the crucial issues of our age. Speakers include the President of the Milan City Council, Elena Buscemi, the Director General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, Mirta Michilli, Microsoft Italy CEO Silvia Candiani, and the ENI Demand & Delivery Energy Evolution & Gas Manager, Elvira Fabrizio.
In fact, some schools have already experimented with Project CO.ME.SE - COde&FraME for Self-empowerment, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and ENI. Digital labs, enterprise training sessions and creative development formats were used to orient 2000 high school students towards STEAM studies and professions through tools and positive models that will help them design their contribution to value and inclusive development. This is a successful social operation that could become a case study to be scaled nationally.
The second part of the morning will feature a workshop with Alessandra Accogli, Co-founder and CEO of Sinergy Flow.
Road to 2040: seeds for the future. The energy transition is a hot topic, but what does it really mean? And what actions can we undertake? How are ideas transformed into actions? I will tell you my story, but especially my vision on this issue and the actions that I decided to undertake to actively contribute to this global process of transformation. However, to act and develop a project, we need more than just words. Together, we will explore and seek to understand the necessary conditions and tools that can be used to develop an idea and transform it into a true project. During the final part of the meeting, we will create new visions for a sustainable future that can be implemented beginning today.
