On the last day of each week, the young men and women participating in the courses at the Officina – New Jobs Workshop meet in the Activity Space and showcase what they have produced in the various laboratories.
Marianna Mellino (27), who has a degree in Chemical Engineering, shows the first work designed and developed, piece by piece, in the Fab Lab, using a laser cutter, 3D printer and various software applications. It’s an original galleon with wheels that can also move on land.
The Officina – New Jobs Workshop is a project conceived by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Google to promote digital skills and implement professional training and orientation activities for 10,000 young men and women currently looking for a job. The initiative has been organised with the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the collaboration of the Ministry of Education, University and Research, the Regione Lazio and Roma Capitale.
