Young tutor awarded for their work teaching grandparents how to connect the various devises to their pc, (camera, scanner, etc..) and help them to become familiar with new communication technologies (mobile phones, digital terrestrial television, iPod, IPTV etc..).
The course programmme is dedicated to real beginners, it is structured so as to complete lessons about the ABC of computers, from power for surfing the Internet, but also on how to use e-mails and communicate trough social networks.
The lessons are also an opportunity to strengthen the dialogue between the two generations and to make new friends.
The "The Knowledge Volunteers" project, financed by the European Commission Grundvig Programme and designed and promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale in partnership with 6 European countries, promotes active ageing with the intergenerational learning model and peer education.
