For the first time, on account of the ongoing health emergency, this year Edu Day, scheduled for May 12, will only be held on-line. The largest Microsoft event dedicated to school presents an extensive programme of debates and activities to explore the frontiers of distance learning together with national and international protagonists of the world of education.
The Fondazione Mondo Digitale, an event partner, will be represented by Director General Mirta Michilli at the plenary session on The Challenge of Didactics: How to Make the Most of Digital Tools When School Starts Again.
Emotion Revolution Study
The Covid-19 emergency has been a hard test for Italy. Teachers have had to face a new challenge: adopt distance learning, often overnight, at all school levels, from primary school to university. The new ways of teaching and learning have completely disrupted daily schedules, provoking new emotions and sentiments. These reflections gave rise to the study on “Emotion Revolution: Emotions and Distance Learning during the Covid-19 Emergency,” developed by Wattajob and PER Lab for Microsoft Italy. The objective was to analyse the impact of the Covid-19 emergency on the emotional well-being of Italian school directors and teachers. The results will be presented at Microsoft EDU Day Live 2020.
