In the context of the 2012 European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity Amongst Generations, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and INAIL Lazioare promoting e-Care Family, an educational programme addressing safety. The pilot project is based on the Grandparents on the Internet inter-generational learning model that is successfully underway in 13 Italian regions and 9 European countries.
The project will be presented at the Istituto Superiore U. Midossi in Civita Castellana (Viterbo, via F. Petrarca) on April 18 at 10:00 am.

The project’s protagonists – students, over-sixties, Inail users and coordinating teachers – will also participate in the presentation.
School students will teach their seniors about safety and prevention thanks to the use of new technologies and in a debate with Inail experts; in particular, the programme focuses on the Civita Castellana Ceramics sector, the Rieti hotel business, the technical-industrial sector in Tivoli and the Viterbo agro-alimentary industry. In fact, the course is custom-tailored to specific local needs.
The lessons, which will be held in school computer labs, are based on the e-Care Family Didactic Kit that includes 4 informational brochures and 10 video lessons for interactive learning.
Moreover, course attendants will also be able to participate in the Knowledge Volunteers 3.0 International Competition to promote the contribution of young tutors to the digital literacy of elders, active ageing and digital volunteering amongst peers. Awards will be presented to the winners at the Rome Campidoglio in May.
