Drone Flight Camp

One of the first tangible results of the Smart & Heart Rome Programme network, developed with the City of Rome, is the creation of a drone flight camp at the Liceo Edoardo Amaldi in Rome. The school is located in the south-eastern suburbs of Rome, not far from the Innovation Gym at the Istituto Comprensivo Melissa Bassi.

A covered filed for drone flight tests was a two-year-long objective of researchers at the Department of Engineering at the Rome Tor Vergata University. Now, the fly zone, developed in full safety, can be used by all local research teams, thanks to the precious contribution of Professor Daniele Carnevale.

Cecilia Stajano [@Cstajano] interviewed Fabrizio Romanelli, Robotic Engineer at the Engineering Macro Area at the Rome Tor Vergata University, who is visibly excited about this important achievement, both for the school and the university.
