The “Discovering Talents Fair” will close the 2015 edition of Project Meet No Neet, the project promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale as part of the Microsoft YouthSpark Programme that has involvled over 10,000 young men and women aged 16-24 from all over Italy.
The appointment is for Wednesday, March 2 at 10.30 am in Peschiera Borromeo (Milan). Students from around Italy will meet with companies in the Microsoft Offices to present their winning entrepreneurial ideas.
Technological, social and entrepreneurial training to allow young men and women to access the job market more easily and acquire the skills necessary to live and work in the 21st century. These are the key actions implemented by the project that aims to prevent and fight the NEET Phenomenon (Not engaged in Education, Employment or Training). Today, in Italy, NEETS represent about 25% of the population aged 15-29.
Besides modern and flexible experiential training, Project Meet No Neet employs innovative tools such as micro-modules, video lessons, tutorials, distance (and regular) training, as well as design and crowdfunding. Once these conceptual and operative tools for the development of social innovation projects are mastered, participants develop entrepreneurial ideas to be financed through the phyrtual.org crowdfunding platform.
Next Wednesday, five teams will have five minutes each to pitch their ideas to the companies and convince them to fund their entrepreneurial ideas through Phyrtual.org. In particular, students will employ an “Elevator Pitch,” what an entrepreneur would have to do to convince an investor to fund a project if he were in a lift. After the pitches, the companies will comment and evaluate the most interesting project ideas.
