For the third year in a row, the Liceo Democrito has qualified for the RoboCup Junior World Championship (after Eindhoven-Holland 2013 and Joao Pessoa – Brazil 2014) and has departed for China with a mixed team, including alumni and members of the ERL Association in Domodossola [see news Team Work].
Democrito Dance Team members include: Christian Conti, Filippo Marcodini, Leonardo Pasanisi, Sofia Viviano and Coach Prof Donatella Falciai.
During the 2014-15 school year, the Rome Liceo Democrito placed:
- First in the Co-space Dance Category at the Romecup 2015 National Robotics Competition, organized by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and held in March 2015;
- First in the Dance Under 19 Category at the Robocup Junior 2015 National Robotics Competition, organized by the Robocup Italia School Network in Milan in April 2015, qualifying to represent Italy at the RoboCup Junior 2015 World Robotics Championship in Hefei, China.
