The Innovation Gym welcomes back students from the San Raffaele University in Rome
Starting today, Tuesday 20 January, the spaces of the Innovation Gym will once again come alive with the educational activities of students from the San Raffaele Telematic University in Rome, as part of the three-year degree course in Fashion and Industrial Design, for the two curricula of Design and Fashion.
This renewed collaboration enhances the laboratory experience as an integral part of the university programme: not just simple exercises, but opportunities for immersive learning, in which design, experimentation and teamwork are intertwined with the conscious use of technology.
"The training programme aims to convey to students the “culture of design” as a value and as a means of innovation and strategy, focusing on the different areas of design, such as product and process design - for both Fashion and Design - marketing, communication and distribution. The course therefore provides students with the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to carry out design activities, from the product/process conception phase to its implementation."
The workshops are held in close synergy with the digital fabrication workshop of the Palestra dell'Innovazione, an ecosystem that allows students to quickly move from idea to prototype, working with digital fabrication, modelling and advanced design tools. This is a fundamental aspect of training courses focused on design, fashion and exhibition spaces, where “doing” is an essential part of design thinking.
Classroom and laboratory activities are supported by classroom tutors Daniele Vigo, Emanuele Coletta and Davide Belli, who assist students and teachers in managing the work, facilitating interaction between university teaching and the laboratory context. For the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, the reference is Cecilia Stajano, community manager.
