“Class IVA at the Istituto Comprensivo Via dei Sesami is a class full of committed parents and students who did not get discouraged during the period of distance learning. Students attended the lessons as they could on parent’s smartphones, sharing computers with brothers and sisters and sharing devices with classmates,” explains a teacher to Valentina Gelsomini, Coordinator of the Recycling Lab at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym [see news: Recycle and Reuse].

“The school has always been proactive in lending out digital devices to students, but the teachers and parents understood that more was needed. The opportunity turned concrete with you and the Recycling Lab Project,” explains the teacher.

The project allows computers that have been removed from companies and private citizens to be regenerated and used for distance learning, cultural and smart working activities.

Thanks to the donation of nine computers regenerated by Davide Aloisi, every child now has their own device, and the class can begin the digital literacy course planned as part of civic education. The computers were presented to the school in Rome administered by Nicola Armignacca on Tuesday, April 6 at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym.

“We can now implement truly integrated didactics, throughout the school year, with digital resources that enrich the didactic experience and allow the young digital citizens to develop a critical sense, responsibility and creativity,” concludes the satisfied teacher.
