Computational Thinking

“Digital technology has already changed how we live, travel, study and work. And it will continue to do so in the future. Not only will digital competences will be increasingly essential in any profession, but computational thinking also helps individuals to develop rational thought and reason.”

The January issue of Focus Scuola, a new monthly for teachers published by the Gruppo Mondadori, is dedicated to the competences addressed by coding activities, with or without computers, in plugged or unplugged activities.

The article entitled "Practicing Computational Thinking" (in Italian) included quotes of Alfonso Molina, Scientific Director of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, and references to the Tinkering Coding Making series published with Edizioni Centro Studi Erickson.

The article is available on-line:

Alleniamo il pensiero computazionale (Practicing Computational Thinking) It’s a fundamental ability for coding, but it can also be learned without a computer.
