"Experiment with Ada" is the title of the event that will be held today at the Bookstock Village [Pavillion 5, Room 2030] for the 30° Salone internazionale del libro di Torino (Turin Book Fair) at Lingotto Fiere.
Today, at 3:30 pm, the young pest who is the protagonist of Ada the Scientist (De Agostini) will be transported into a Minecraft Education Edition to discover new digital worlds and 3D adventures by Ada Lovelace, the world’s first female coder.
Inspired by the Noble Prize winners Ada Lovelace and Marie Curie, Ada the Scientist teaches young girls to become aware of their talents, promotes the concept of gender diversity as a resource and transmits a fundamental message: intelligence and perseverance are the tools to develop dreams.
The coding lab, organised by De Agostini Scuola, Microsoft, and Riconnessioni – Fondazione per la Scuola, will be held by Valentina Gelsomini [Valentina_FMD], a coach at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym and senior coach for the Coding Girls Programme.
The coding programme to promote the talent of young girls and bridge the gender gap in the ICT Sector is promoted by the American Embassy in Italy and the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, in collaboration with Microsoft.
