The Coding Girls Educational Tour is in Pistoia. The programme, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and the United States Embassy in Italy in collaboration with Microsoft Italy, aims to promote gender equality in science and technology. The sixth edition will be held on November 5-22 and will involve 10,000 young women in 14 Italian cities.
After the intensive training sessions held in city schools (LAS Petrocchi and ITCS Pacini), 80 students, coordinated by American super coach Anthonette Peña, National Board Certified Teacher and STEM Teacher Lead, will participate in a hackathon at the San Giorgio Library with Cecilia Stajano (FMD Project Coordinator and School Innovation Manager), Maria Stella Rasetti (Library Director and You Lab Pistoia Coordinator) and Cristina Bambini (Librarian, San Giorgio Library).
