The Fondazione Mondo Digitale and the United States Embassy in Italy, in collaboration with Microsoft, present the sixth edition of Coding Girls, the programme that attracts young women to coding and accelerates the achievement of equal opportunities in science and technology.

The Coding Girls Press Conference will inaugurate the national tour that on November 5-22 will involve 10,000 female students in 14 Italian cities: Turin, Milan, Bologna, Trieste, Pistoia, Pisa, Catania, Cagliari, Salerno, Bari, Naples, Palermo, Reggio Calabria and Rome. The educational marathon, led by two American super coaches and Computer Science experts, will include coding sessions in 60 schools and 14 hackathons held in collaboration with major Italian universities.
Thanks to the Coding Girls Association and 25 other hubs in Italy, activities continue throughout the school year with meetings with role models, STEM activities, artificial intelligence labs and peer-to-peer training sessions amongst students.
The day will be opened by Lewis M. Eisenberg, United States Ambassador to Italy, and Paola Pisano, Italian Minister for Technological Innovation and Digitalisation.
Invitees include Virginia Raggi, Mayor of Rome, and Anna Ascani, Undersecretary of State to the Ministry of Education, University and Social Research.
