Class ID from the Istituto comprensivo Via delle Carine, accompanied by Prof. Anna Allegria, returns to the Robotics Centre at the Rome Città Educativa.
The aspiring designers, aged 10-11, will be helped by Engineer Mohamed Gaber Haiba to discover the full potential of high-tech construction games such as the Lego Mindstorms NXT. This is a system of intelligent bricks that can be programmed via open source software.
The Lego Mindstorms NXT kit includes:
• 32-bit smart NXT brick with a rechargeable battery
• 500-element construction system
• Three interactive servomotors with integrated encoders
• Ultrasound distance sensor
• Sounds sensor
• Light sensor
• Pressure sensor
The educational robotics labs held at the Rome Città Educativa Robotics Centre are open every day, except Wednesdays, through June 2014.
