The first appointment of the week dedicated to seismology (Sept. 27-30) will be held tomorrow to present the Chilean prevention model. The educational multi-event is promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale in collaboration with the University of Chile and the Chilean Embassy in Italy [see news Seismology School].
The events will feature the participation of an international delegation of experts in seismology, geophysics and didactic innovation:
- Jaime Campos, Dept. Geophysics, FCFM, University of Chile; Director of the Programa Riesgo Sísmico (PRS) and Programa de Reducción de Riesgos y Desastres (CITRID), University of Chile
- Michele Lustrino, Associate Professor, Dept. Earth Sciences, Sapienza University of Rome
- Fabrizio Mallaioli, Associate Professor, Dept. Structural Engineering and Geotechnics, Sapienza Università di Roma
- Alfonso Molina, Scientific Director, Fondazione Mondo Digitale
- Rodolfo Saragoni, Professor and Civil Engineer, University of Chile, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)
The delegation of experts will be at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym during the morning, while in the afternoon, Jaime Campos and Rodolfo Saragoni will be guests of the Parliamentary Commission on the Environment and Public Works together with the Deputy President of the Chamber, Marina Sereni [see Programme, Chamber of Deputies].
