A group of students from IIS Guglielmo Marconi in Nocera Inferiore (Salerno) participated in this new initiative organised as part of Programme Ambizione Italia for Schools scuola, promoted by Microsoft Italy.
During a course on the many applications of artificial intelligence, the students were intrigued by the operation of chatbots that could simulate a conversation with another human. With the help of their Computer Systems Professor Giovanni D'Ambrosio, the students decided to develop a smart software application that could help elders with on-line shopping.
The collaborative lab held by Coach Elisa Chierchiello, begins today (Monday, April 27) from 4 to 6 pm. Over the course of four 2-hour sessions, the students aim to develop the shopping chatbot prototype. Coach Andrea Morachioli also participates in the course.
