The Champions Factory

Sixty-nine schools have registered for the first edition of the Educational Robotics Olympics, promoted by the General Direction for School Curricula and National Education System Assessment together with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

 

The registered teams, which come from 17 Italian regions, are listed on the competition website.

 

Upcoming Deadlines

 

  • February 15 – upload prototype description to www.olimpiadirobotica.it
  • February 25 – selection of best projects
  • March 15 – development and delivery of prototypes selected by the FMD

 

The first edition of the Robotics Olympics will be held in parallel with the tenth edition of RomeCup – Excellence in Robotics in Rome, which will be held on March 16-18.

 

The title of the competition - The Champions Factory – addresses second-degree secondary school to promote, encourage and support the didactic potential of robotics.

 

Participating students will develop a robotic champion, a working prototype that can be used to compete in international robotics competitions. The prototypes selected the Olympic Scientific Committee will be showcased during RomeCup 2016 (Rome, March 16-18). The Awards Ceremony will be held in Parma on May 24, 2016 at the Maifest, the inaugural evening of the SPS IPC Drives Italia Fair dedicated to electrical and industrial automation.
