Why have measles not been fully eradicated? Why are some countries on alert? What data requires more attention?
Paolo Bonanni, Professor of General and Applied Hygiene at the University of Florence, participated in the first day of the second edition of the Digital Academy organized by the Italian Hygiene Society (SItI). He addressed the issue of vaccine coverage with a focus on HPV, rubella, measles, chicken pox and mumps, but also warned about the dangers of collecting health information from social media and the diffusion of fake news, analysing historical statistics on the diffusion of these disease in Italy.
