The Casa dei Servizi opens in Cesano

A new space for inclusion and digital citizenship

Last Wednesday, in Via della Stazione di Cesano 838, in the heart of Municipio XV, the new Casa dei Servizi was inaugurated, a public space returned to the citizens thanks to an important joint effort between the municipal administration and local organisations. A welcoming and multifunctional place, designed to offer concrete support on several fronts: from social services to schools, from listening to digital technology.

Starting on Tuesday 3 June, the citizens of Cesano will have free access to weekly help desks, set up thanks to the collaboration between Municipal Social Services, the School and Nursery Office of the XV Municipality, the “A Mente Libera” Association, Anteas Roma Città Metropolitana APS and Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

In particular, the Foundation is participating with the Digital Facilitation Centres project of Roma Capitale, offering personalised assistance to simplify access to key online services:

  • OEPAC requests and school meal subsidies
  • support in completing the pre-filled ISEE form
  • bookings for the issue or renewal of electronic identity cards (CIE)
  • activation of SPID and PEC
  • access to digital registry services on the My Rhome portal

During the inauguration, the Councillor for Social and Health Policies of the XV Municipality, Agnese Rollo, emphasised the importance of “a well-kept place designed to make citizens feel at ease”. The Vice-President Alessandro Cozza, Councillor for Budget and Youth Policies, highlighted “the great administrative and political work necessary to make a structure like this operational”.

Finally, the president of the XV Town Hall, Daniele Torquati, reiterated that the new Casa dei Servizi ‘is not simply a place of assistance, but a concrete response to the need for autonomy and innovation. Reopening a public space and making it functional for citizens was a strategic choice to bring services closer to people, especially at a time when digital transformation represents a crucial challenge for inclusion’.

Representing the Fondazione Mondo Digitale was Vincenzo Sivero, project manager of the Digital Facilitation Centres programme: "Today we are at the Casa dei Servizi in Municipio XV, thanks to the municipal administration that has allowed us to be present in this public space with the services of the Rome Capital Digital Facilitation Centres project. Here, citizens find an integrated offering ranging from social and educational services to listening and digital support services: a mix of skills to respond to the needs of the community with concrete and innovative solutions."
