Being a teacher today: educational responsibilities, digital technology and new challenges for schools
‘Among the factors contributing to the success of an entire school system, the most important is the quality of teaching. A good teacher is the decisive factor in a good school.’ Tullio De Mauro
How is the role of the teacher changing in a society undergoing profound transformations and new forms of sociality and fragility?
These questions are answered in the webinar ‘Call me Teacher’, with Matteo Lancini, psychologist, psychotherapist and president of the Minotauro Foundation, dedicated to all teachers participating in the training courses of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
The webinar is a shared moment of reflection on the social role of the teacher: not simply a transmitter of knowledge, but an adult role model, capable of building authentic educational relationships, accompanying students in their search for meaning and integrating technologies without losing sight of the centrality of the person.
During the session, Matteo Lancini guides teachers in an open discussion on authority, responsibility and new challenges in digital education, offering ideas for consciously addressing the impact of artificial intelligence and technology on the growth of young people.
The webinar adds new insights to our training programme, which combines values, relational and ethical skills, to share experiences, languages and strategies for a more inclusive and conscious education.
