The Italian schools in the autonomous province of Bolzano are the first to start again after the summer break. The school year will last 35 weeks, starting from today. Nearly 20,000 students return to school and 21% of them are foreigners (data 2012-13 school year).
To improve the welcome and orientation of these students, an integration and help service is available to help all students with special educational needs.
The 2014-15 school calendar indicates that, in most Italian regions, schools open on September 15. Early birds include Bolzano, which opens schools today; Trento and Molise, which begin on September 10, and Valle d’Aosta and the Abruzzi, where schools open back up on September 11. Puglia and Sicily are the last to open school gates back up on September 17.
Once again, our best wishes to everyone involved in school!
