Binario F – Grandparent’s Day

Grandparent’s Day is celebrated in Italy on October 2 following the ratification of Bill N. 159 on July 31, 2005 declaring this civil recurrence. Now, thanks to Programme Vagone FMD, Binario F will also celebrate grandparents and elders who are still studying thanks to the intergenerational learning method.

“Seniors On-line: A Practical and Simple Guide to Use of the Internet” kicks off today with over-65s from the Anteas Association, a long-standing partner of FMD in digital literacy activities for elders.

SENIORS ON-LINE

A PRACTICAL AND SIMPLE GUIDE TO USE OF THE INTERNET

A course for elders and students with Astrid D’Eredità
October 2, 2019 – 10:00 am

The course, which is organised into 4 three-hour meetings, provides over-65s – whatever their initial level – with tools to understand and correctly use digital services. Explanations and exercises are held by high school students who, coordinated by a professor, actively involve participants to stimulate their interaction. The synergies amongst the two groups promotes the active role of the learning process. Besides focusing on the main social networking platforms, digital solutions will also be introduced for everyday practical problems (public administration on-line services, on-line fraud, introduction to cybersecurity).
