Who is Fabiana Parisi?
I am a professional with a strong passion for digital tools, communication, and innovation. I currently work as Web Manager at Starcare srl, where I deal with the development and management of websites, as well as social media marketing activities aimed at strengthening the company's digital presence. My academic background includes a master's degree in Digital Marketing Management from the IULM University of Milan and a degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Milan. In addition, I have taken specialization courses in Web Design, SEO, languages such as HTML and CSS, and platforms such as WordPress. Recently, I have studied PHP and the Laravel framework thanks to a course organised by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
My career has developed in various different areas, giving me a complete perspective of the digital landscape. For three years, I worked in a top company providing digital solutions for the pharmaceutical sector, where I honed my skills in coding and managing advanced CMSs such as Veeva Vault and Salesforce. At the same time, as a freelancer, I created digital marketing strategies, designed and developed websites, and founded an on-line accessories store, where I took care of every aspect, from product selection to management and promotion of the e-commerce platform.
A particularly significant experience was the co-founding of the Urban/Streetwear brand THESIGN. I followed every aspect of the brand's development: from its visual identity to the business plan and the management of digital communication. This experience provided me with a unique opportunity to combine my passion for fashion with my digital skills. In the fashion sector, I also gained experience as a press officer at Studio Torricelli in Milan and as a client advisor for Max Mara. These roles allowed me to further develop my interpersonal and organizational skills.
My experience has taught me to combine creativity and technical skills, allowing me to work with passion in dynamic and constantly evolving sectors. I love fashion, poetry, art in all its forms, and music. I love to travel and have lived in several cities, including Pesaro, Milan, Berlin, Vigo, Valencia, and Naples, where I currently reside. Long walks by the sea are a source of inspiration and reflection for me, and innovation is what guides my every choice, both educational and professional.
What drove you to enrol in the course?
I decided to take the course organised by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale on Back-end Development because it was an area of my sector that I had not yet explored in depth. Although I had some experience in front-end development, CMS management and website construction, I felt the need to expand my technical skills, understanding the logic and technology underlying the systems I use on a daily basis. The course was a unique opportunity to fill this gap and develop a complete understanding of back-end technology that is essential for to create more structured and high-performance digital solutions. I chose to get involved and face a new challenge to add further skills to my professional profile.
How did it go? What skills did you improve and how did the course help you develop your projects?
The course proved to be extremely useful for understanding the other side of my job and acquiring the skills needed to intervene, if necessary, also on the back-end. The course allowed me to broaden my vision of digital development, integrating new technical skills and making me more autonomous and versatile in my professional activities.
Following the course, I found an internship opportunity at Itconsulting, where a knowledge of PHP was required. This allowed me to put the skills I had learned into practice, contributing to concrete projects and further deepening my technical skills in a work context.
