Can you become a digital ambassador at 14 or 16? And what is a “digital ambassador”?

The challenge launched by European Project Make Learn Share Europe, which aims to develop new opportunities for learning digital skills amongst young men and women throughout Europe, promotes the exchange of knowledge and peer learning. The project is dedicated to students who wish to become conscious users of technology, content creators and not just users.

Alessandro Marcon, a sixteen-year-old Roman student at IIS Pacinotti-Archimede, has accepted the challenge to become a digital ambassador and share his skills and passion with other students

You have even seen him on TV for the Rai #Cittadinoinrete Campaign. In a report broadcast during the “Buongiorno Regione” Programme, Alessandro and Emanuele Giacomini explain Project "Phoenix Soccer Robot", which allowed him and his classmates to win the Robotics Olympics promoted by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research and the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

Two years ago, a team composed by Andrea Valeri, Emanuele Giacomini, Alessandro Marcon, Luca Ferraro Viscardi and Luca Giuliani won the “Intel® Galileo Italy School Contest 2014” Award with a  "Virtual Shopping List" Project. [see news Good News from Schools].

Alessandro has everything it takes to become an e-leader. In the meantime, he is acting as a peer trainer for Project “Make Learn Share Europe.” Last Saturday, he worked with students from Lazio and Campania, transmitting his passion for Arduino coding to everyone.

Here’s his point of view, recorded by Fiammetta Castagnini.
