Today, Friday, November 20, is the last day to register for the new edition of the CS First Contest on diversity, in all its dimensions, with a special focus on disabilities and special needs. This is a crucial challenge for schools during the health emergency [see news: CS First Becomes a Challenge].
Thanks to the simplicity of block coding and visual representation, CS First promotes concentration and problem resolution. It stimulates collaborative work, also at a distance, and promotes learning and the active participation of all students, even the most fragile.
Three awards will be assigned to projects that value diversity as richness:
- Best storytelling project
- Best animation project
- Best coding project for an interactive videogame
The projects will be presented and receive awards at the Graduation Day, an on-line event that will be held on December 10-13, 2020. Alessandro Bogliolo, Professor of Information Processing Systems at the University of Urbino, Coordinator of EU CodeWeek and a member of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition Governing Board will be present.
The deadline for project submission is today: Friday, November 20. Please submit your projects to corsi@mondodigitale.org
Moreover, the CS First MOOC is still available on-line. The MOOC includes 8 one-hour lessons on the many platform activities and coding as a tool for teaching. Narration, music, art, videogames and more explained by Alessandro Bogliolo. Upon completion of the course, teachers will receive a 24-hour certification.
