The third edition of Project Amongst Generations – United for Work, promoted with CNA Pensionati, has ended in Benevento and Avellino.
Cecilia Stajano [@CStajano], who coordinates the School Innovation Sector for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, followed the final events and interviewed various protagonists.
Campania has been involved in the project since the first edition: first with Salerno, Aversa and Naples, and then with Avellino and Benevento.
"The many project activities have highlighted the work and trade of craftsmen, who with commitment, care and dedication began working in workshops when they were 11. At 70, they are still dynamic, enterprising and hold a vast wealth of knowledge,” explains Cecilia Stajano. "The meeting with these life masters was fertile for everyone involved and reminds u show important craftsmanship is in Italy. In fact, “Made in Italy” is not just a geographic characteristic, it is a quality that includes heart and mind, hands and passion to work, sew, level, stucco, discover and love raw materials, their country and everything beautiful. Thus, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale is grateful to CNA Pensionati for the wealth of knowledge and experience it has shared with students, a fruitful collaboration for everyone involved.”
CNA Pensionati Campania Secretary Andrea Battistoni, who has always been enthusiastic about the project, proudly lists the achievements reached, the new friendships amongst generations and the new strategies conceived to address local needs.
In Benevento, activities were organised by IIS Galilei-Vetrone, the school directed by Headmistress Grazia Elmerinda Pedicini. The project was coordinated by Prof. Clementina Pastore.
In Avellino, the intergenerational exchange was hosted by IIS P. E. Imbriani, managed by Headmaster Tullio Faia. The project was coordinated by Prof. Antonio Iannuzzi.
