The expression "Long Covid" is used to express the “whole range of consequences produced by Covid-19, once an individual has overcome the acute phase of the illness” [Treccani, neologismi 2020]. While we are still not out of the health emergency and we are facing the vaccine campaign, we may ask for how long will we be dealing with the effects of long Covid and the long infodemic? What consequences will the “circulation of an excessive quantity of information, which is often not verified accurately, and that hinders orientation on given arguments for the difficulty of identifying reliable sources” have in the long-term? [Treccani, neologismi 2020].
Every day, schools communicate with students, families, and the educational community … it never dips below a 50% share. It speaks daily to half of the Italian population, 30 million people. So, why not use it as a broadcaster for salubrious information against the infodemic? Only schools can produce knowledge antibodies, and therefore we have organised a Factor J summer school for teachers.
