The Ambassadors from Reggio

“Reggio now has its new digital ambassadors. Certificates were presented to the citizens who participated in the “Smart for Europe” course – one of the many projects promoted by the City’s Europe Direct Centre directed by Maria Lucia Malara and promoted by the Councillorship for Youth Policy. The ceremony, which was held in the CEDIR “Spinelli” Hall, also featured the participation of the Palazzo San Giorgio Service Director, Councillor Giuggi Palmenta, Fondazione Mondo Digitale Coordinator Giulia Melissari, and, connected via web, Ilaria Graziano and Cecilia Stajano, respectively Project Manager and Community Manager of the organisation that collaborated with the city council.”

The La Gazzetta del Sud daily, published an article about Project Smart for Europe in the April 3rd edition. The Fondazione Mondo Digitale held educational and digital animation sessions to support the information and communication activities of the Europe Direct Centre in Reggio Calabria, as part of the 4th edition of Programme Aper Europe. Fifty Europe Direct Digital Ambassadors were trained for the City of Reggio Calabria. The ambassadors are of different ages, but all have a good understanding of new technology, in order to drive the multiplier effect of social learning.
