A webinar to discover how to integrate artificial intelligence into professional practice
Next Thursday, 1 October, from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm, Fondazione Mondo Digitale is hosting AI on the Ward, a webinar aimed at healthcare professionals to explore, through real-life examples, the possibilities offered by generative artificial intelligence in day-to-day work.
Leading the practical session is trainer Christian Tamantini, who will begin with three use cases: transforming notes and unstructured text into organised summaries, quickly identifying relevant information within documents, and preparing clearer communications for patients, carers and colleagues.
The session also addresses some essential aspects for the informed use of these tools: from formulating effective prompts to verifying outputs, right through to data protection and the management of errors, omissions and unreliable information. The focus remains on the healthcare professional, with their wealth of knowledge and responsibility for decision-making.
The second part of the webinar, featuring experts Nicola Illuzzi, Giorgio Tullio De Negri and Claudio Vergini, broadens the focus to training and the adoption of innovation. How can we design programmes that start with people, their experiences, their needs and their different learning styles? The discussion delves into the topics of traceability, white box and black box approaches, and the Human-in-the-Loop model, which maintains human input within processes supported by artificial intelligence.
AI on the Ward thus offers an initial forum for discussion on practice, skills and responsibility, to help healthcare professionals understand where artificial intelligence can be useful and what conditions are required for its informed use.
