Today, marks the return of the RomeCup (May 2-4), the 15th edition, in presence at Sapienza University of Rome and at the Rome Campidoglio for the finals and awards ceremony [see news: RomeCup: May 2-4].
Taking advantage of the arrival in Rome of Senior Official to the Secretary of State in the Office of Global Women’s Issues (S/GWI) Katrina Fotovat, the United States Embassy, a partner of the Coding Girls Programme, has organised for today – Monday, May 2 – a meeting with students, including three young women from the Istituto tecnico economico e tecnologico Emanuela Loi in Nettuno (Rome) and their professors.
On Wednesday, May 4, there will be a public event with an open lab in Palermo organised by OpenSPACE (9-13) at the Borgese-XXVII Maggio hub school. This will provide an opportunity for sharing the main results achieved locally by Project OpenSPACE with the local authorities and a number of representatives of the local educational community. During the day, the Innovation Gym will host educational robotics and digital manufacturing labs.
The following day (with the same set-up) there will be a public event and open lab also in Milano (10-14) at the Madre Teresa di Calcutta hub school.
This week’s appointments dedicated to the school community, including parents and grandparents, with the following projects: Ambizione Italia for Youth, CS First, Factor J, OpenSPACE and Fully Enjoy the Internet.
Young men and women, as well as workers seeking professional requalification, can also enjoy the courses organised by Ambizione Italia for Youth, while Job Digital Lab, the programme promoted with ING Italia, will hold practical courses for everyone. The playlist with micro-learning modules, developed to increase learning opportunities at any time and in any place, is now on-line.
